
Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja says the government is pursuing a comprehensive strategy to bring comfort in the lives of people through technology.
She was addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today in connection with the completion of ten-year digital road map of Pakistan.
The Minister termed the ‘Digital Nation Pakistan’ as the revolutionary step taken by the government to bring ease in the lives of people with only one click of the button.
She said special attention is being paid to E-governance, Artificial Intelligence and data security.
Highlighting the salient features of digital economy, Shaza Fatima said it will streamline the country’s economy and bring efficiency and transparency. She said that cashless economy is the essential ingredient of digital economy.
The Minister for Information Technology expressed the government’s commitment to provide opportunities to youth in IT sector to meet the modern era requirements.
