Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal says green building codes have been developed by the government to construct eco-friendly infrastructure in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today, he emphasized the need to use the nature-based construction material to check the adverse impacts of climate change.
The Minister called upon all stakeholders including private sectors and all local development authorities to encourage green building projects especially in large urban centers.
Highlighting the salient features of green buildings, Ahsan Iqbal said it provides the nature based solutions.
