In Sudan, more than 100,000 people have fled the country amid continued heavy fighting between rival military factions for the last two weeks. 

United Nation High commissioner for Refugees spokeswoman Olga Sarrado told reporters in Geneva that refugees are fleeing to Egypt in the north and Chad in the west.

The United Nation Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Abdou Dieng, said that devastating fighting turning the country’s humanitarian crisis into a full blown catastrophe.

He said one-third of Sudan’s population, nearly 16 million people are already in need humanitarian aid.
