Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Muhammad Ameer Bhatti has directed the Punjab Governor to administer oath to newly elected Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Sharif either himself or appoint a representative for the purpose till Thursday and also disposed of the writ petition filed by Hamza Shahbaz Sharif in this regard.

The court regretted that country’s biggest province has been functioning without a chief executive for the last twenty five days.

The Chief Justice Lahore High Court directed the concerned officials to immediately fax the court’s order to the President and Governor Punjab.
