All is set for local bodies elections scheduled to be held on Sunday in fourteen districts of four divisions of Sindh province in the first phase.

Twenty one thousand two hundred ninety eight( 21298)  candidates are in field for six thousand two hundred seventy seven seats of one hundred one town committees, twenty three municipal committees, fourteen districts councils, four municipal corporations, eleven town municipal corporations and eight hundred eighty seven union councils and Union committees.

In the first phase elections are being held in Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Larkana, Qambar-Shahdadkot, kashmore-kandhkot, Shikarpur, Jackobabad, Naushahroferoze, Shaheed Benaziarabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot and Tharparkar districts While in the second phase elections will be held in sixteen districts of Karachi and Hyderabad divisions on 24th of next month.

The election commission has established nine thousand two hundred ninety polling stations with twenty nine thousand nine hundred seventy seven polling booths to facilitate the voters.

One thousand nine hundred eighty five polling stations have been declared very sensitive and three thousand four hundred forty eight as sensitive.

One crore sixteen lac forty three thousand five hundred and eighty two voter including sixty three lac thirty one thousand three hundred and eighty three male and fifty three lac twelve thousand  one hundred and ninety nine female voters will use their right to franchise to elect the representatives of their choice in the first phase.
