Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world will observe the Jammu Martyrs’ Day, tomorrow (Sunday), to reiterate their resolve to carry on the martyrs’ mission till they achieve their inalienable right to self-determination. 

Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were martyred by the forces of Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian Army and Hindu fanatics in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947.

All arrangements have been finalized to commemorate the historic Jammu Martyrs’ Day on both sides of the LoC and rest of the world.

The day will dawn with special prayers in all mosques, at Fajr and special ceremonies including seminars and symposiums will also be  held to mark the Jammu martyrs day in all small and major towns of all ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir including the capital city of Muzaffarabad.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu massacre on the eve of their martyrdom anniversary has said the Kashmiri people will accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.

Illegally detained senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail said the massacre of Muslims was the most horrible incident of Kashmir’s history that continues to haunt the Kashmiris despite the passage of seventy-five years.

Other APHC leaders in a joint statement said the Kashmiris will always remember the great sacrifice of the Jammu martyrs.

On the other hand, APHC-AJK leaders including Gulshan Ahmad and Qazi Muhammad Imran in their statements issued in Islamabad also paid homage to the Jammu martyrs.
