Political parties have expressed satisfaction over the Digital System employed by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics for the ongoing digital census in the country.     

The representatives of different parties including federal and provincial ministers were given a briefing session at Pakistan Bureau of statistics in Islamabad on Friday regarding 7th population and housing census.

The participants were updated about the Methodology of Digital Census, statistics collected so far and role of provincial governments in census.

The participants visited Call Centre and Digital Census Working Groups at Census Control Centre.

According to current figures of the Census, 237,448,241 individuals have been counted so far. In Sindh 54,138,485 individuals have been counted so far, in Punjab the population count so far stands at 116,442,499, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 39,315,873 while in Balochistan 19,713,823 individuals have been counted in till date.
