US thanks Qatar for help in mediating a landmark prisoner swap deal with Iran

The United States has thanked Qatar for help in mediating a landmark prisoner swap deal with Iran.

During a telephonic conversation, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Than and US President Joe Biden discussed strategic ties and ways to bolster them in a range of fields.

In a statement, the Emiri Diwan said President Biden spoke positively of Doha’s active and constructive efforts in global politics

It said during the call, the strategic relations between the two countries and aspects of supporting and strengthening them in various fields were reviewed.
