Pakistan and Rwanda have vowed to further strengthen their bilateral relations especially in the parliamentary sphere.

The understanding was reached during meeting of a parliamentary delegation led by President of the Rwandan Senate, Dr Kalinda Francois Xavier with Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani in Islamabad today.

The two sides emphasized on further expansion of bilateral trade as part of Pakistan’s ‘Look Africa’ policy, which opens up opportunities for trade and cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman Senate expressed Pakistan’s strong dedication to nurture its bilateral relationship with Rwanda.

He highlighted the immense potential for cooperation in agriculture, food security and human resource development.

Sadiq Sanjrani underlined that Pakistan has taken a significant step to strengthen its relations by establishing embassy in Rwanda and hoped that Rwanda would also establish its embassy in Pakistan. He said this would facilitate businessmen, investors, and people of both countries.

The Rwandan delegation expressed gratitude to Pakistan for the warm welcome and hospitality. It expressed readiness to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in trade, investment, and other areas.

Later, the delegation visited the Senate Museum.
