IIOJK: Hurriyat leaders appeal to UN to resolve Kashmir dispute

In the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat leaders have appealed to the United Nations to resolve the Kashmir dispute as per its Security Council’s resolutions.

Leaders including Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Maulana Musaib Nadvi in their statements issued in Srinagar today, warned the World Body that any further delay in exercise of the Kashmiris’ pledged right to self-determination could imperil peace in the South Asian region.

Meanwhile, Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations in Poonch district. Operations are being conducted jointly by Indian army and Police in Mendhar and Mandi areas of the district.
