The Green Pakistan Initiative under the Special Investment Facilitation Council has ushered in sustainable development in agriculture and livestock sectors.
As part of the initiative, satellite monitoring of crops and ‘LIMS Pakistan’ website has also been launched to guide farmers about modern farming techniques.
The initiative has also ensured equitable distribution of water for agricultural purposes through cleanliness and maintenance of about 15, 300 miles-long irrigation network.
Efforts of SIFC have also helped collaboration with local and global investors for direct investment in agriculture through the “B2B” model.
Smart Agri Farms, Green Malls and Model Farms have also been launched.
With SIFC’s effective strategy, Pakistan is heading to become a modern, self-sufficient and export-oriented agri-economy.
