Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja says special measures are being taken to promote the precision farming to optimize crop production in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today (Friday), she reiterated the government’s commitment to empower the farming community with latest technology and Artificial Intelligence because it will not only supplement their efficiency but also enhance the per acre yield growth.
The Minister commended the Land Information and Management System to compile the entire agriculture data of country in the digital public infrastructure.
Highlighting the salient features of agri data, Shaza Fatima said it will greatly facilitate the innovators, researchers, policy makers and farmers to start their startups. Additionally, they will be familiarized about the weather patterns, agriculture growth and road infrastructure.
