A delegation of All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) led by Chairperson Chaudhry Qamar Zaman Gill called on Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, issues pertaining to the transport sector came under discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that strict adherence to axle load compliance is not only a regulatory requirement, but also a strategic benefit for the goods transporters themselves.
He said strict compliance of axle load significantly reduces vehicle wear and tear, minimizes maintenance costs and is essential for the preservation of the country’s road infrastructure.
The Minister urged the goods transporters association to play a proactive role in convincing all stakeholders regarding adherence to axle load.
