Under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Noor Pur Thal, Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz, the PERA Force has initiated active and effective operations to ensure the implementation of the officially approved fare list aimed at providing public relief. The administration is making dedicated efforts to prevent arbitrary fare increases and to strictly enforce government-notified fares.
On the directions of the Assistant Commissioner, the PERA Force conducted surprise inspections at various transport stands and key locations. During these checks, drivers and transporters found overcharging passengers were issued warnings. Officials stated that no one would be allowed to exploit the public, and strict action would be taken against violators without discrimination.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz emphasized that the government’s top priority is to provide relief to the public, and all available resources are being utilized to achieve this objective. He also urged citizens to promptly report any instances of overcharging or irregularities to the administration for immediate action.
