
On the directives of the Punjab Government, the Department of Agriculture (Extension), District Khushab, has launched an awareness campaign in Tehsil Noorpur Thal regarding the recovery of Kisan Card loans. As part of this initiative, meetings and awareness sessions with farmers have been started.
In this connection, a farmersโ convention was held at the dera of the Numberdar in Rangpur Baghour, while another meeting with farmers took place at Malik Basanaโs dera in Kakka. In Rangpur Baghour, Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) District Khushab, Abdul Majeed Khan, addressed the farmers.
Among those present on the occasion were former Nazim Rangpur Baghour Malik Ghulam Jafar Khan Baghour, Numberdar Malik Sajid Abbas Baghour, Rana Muhammad Ilyas, Malik Haji Sher Iqbal Baghour, Numberdar Malik Shafqat Abbas Baghour, Rana Muhammad Arif, Rana Sultan Ahmed, Malik Sanaullah Kaloo, and other farmers.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Director Abdul Majeed Khan stated that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched several initiatives for the welfare of farmers, among which the Kisan Card Program holds significant importance and utility. Under this program, farmers are being provided timely, interest-free agricultural loans.
He urged farmers to repay their loans on time and to become eligible for rewards through a balloting system, including tractors, Umrah tickets, motorcycles, and other prizes. He further informed that Tehsil Noorpur Thal has the highest agricultural loan disbursement in Punjab, expressing hope that farmers will ensure timely repayment.
During the session, farmers raised various agriculture-related questions, which were answered satisfactorily by the officials.
On this occasion, Assistant Director Agriculture Muhammad Munir Bashir, Malik Muhammad Ilyas (Assistant), Malik Qaiser Baghour (Assistant), Field Assistant Malik Muhammad Yaqoob Tatt, Field Assistant Malik Muhammad Fayyaz Wadhal, and Field Assistant Rana Muhammad Nazim were also present.
Malik Muhammad Yaqoob Tatt welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives of the meeting.
In Kakka, Assistant Director Agriculture Noorpur Thal Jaleel Ahmed and Agriculture Officer Rana Muhammad Rizwan also addressed the farmers, urging them to repay Kisan Card loans on time to benefit from the prize scheme and to avail further interest-free loans promptly.
