Pakistan Hajj Mission has recovered over 74,000 Saudi Riyals from private tour operators for overcharging intending Hajj pilgrims.
Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that show-cause notices have also been served to thirty-five companies as part of a major crackdown on service violations.
The Mission has recovered 74,455 Saudi Riyals, amounting to more than 5.5 million Pakistani rupees, from private tour operators who overcharged pilgrims for sacrificial animal fees and other services.
The amount was returned to the intending pilgrims on the spot.
