This year’s Hajj sermon will be translated and broadcast in 35 languages, including Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto.
The announcement was made by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The initiative aims to reach non-Arabic-speaking Muslims around the world.
Radio Pakistan Correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that the translation of the Arafat sermon into Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto will greatly benefit Pakistani pilgrims by helping them better understand the message of Islam. The translation of the Hajj sermon will be broadcast through digital platforms and affiliated channels.
More than one hundred thousand Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in Makkah to perform Hajj this year.
