On the occasion of World Environment Day, an awareness seminar and walk were organized by the Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company (PRMSC), Tehsil Noorpur Thal, to highlight the importance of environmental protection, cleanliness, and tree plantation among the public.

The event was attended by BCC Officer Malik Abdul Waheed Sago, Research Officer Muhammad Atif, Assistant Manager Hamid Saeed, Assistant Manager M. Ahsan, along with other officers and employees of the organization.

Addressing the seminar, BCC Officer Malik Abdul Waheed Sago and other speakers shed detailed light on the significance of World Environment Day and the growing threats posed by environmental pollution. They emphasized that ensuring a clean and healthy environment is a shared responsibility and that promoting eco-friendly practices is essential for securing a better future for coming generations.

The speakers urged participants to play their role in keeping their surroundings clean, avoiding the unnecessary use of plastic, and planting more trees. They stated that collective awareness and practical measures are indispensable for addressing environmental challenges effectively.

Later, an awareness walk was held in which participants carried banners and placards bearing various slogans related to World Environment Day. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting environmentally friendly activities and protecting natural resources.

The attendees also pledged to continue playing an active role within their respective spheres of influence in environmental conservation, the promotion of cleanliness, and public awareness, thereby contributing to the development of a clean, green, and healthy society.
