Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha, Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, and Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, conducted a detailed visit to Muharram procession routes and key Imambargahs across District Khushab to review security and administrative arrangements.
During the visit, they were accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab Dr. Ammara Shirazi, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Abar, officials of the police and district administration, as well as organizers of Muharram processions.
The officers thoroughly inspected procession routes, entry and exit points, security checkpoints, CCTV surveillance coverage, parking arrangements, and other precautionary measures put in place for Muharram-ul-Haram.
They also met with organizers of processions and religious gatherings (Majalis) to discuss potential issues, required arrangements, and possible security concerns during the sacred month.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Sargodha Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan directed that foolproof security be ensured for all processions and Majalis. He emphasized that all relevant departments would remain on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation.
DPO Khushab Dr. Ammara Shirazi briefed the visiting officers on the security plan, stating that a comprehensive security strategy had been implemented throughout the district to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram.
At the conclusion of the visit, the officers reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining law and order across District Khushab and ensuring the safety and protection of citizens’ lives and property during Muharram-ul-Haram.
