District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Khushab, Ali Hussain, stated that Rescue 1122 personnel remained on high alert throughout Youm-e-Ashura to ensure prompt emergency response and medical assistance.
He said Rescue teams were deployed at key locations across the district, including Daroghanwala Dara, Mohalla Syed Rasool, and Mohalla Shirazianwala in Khushab City; Naseem Colony, Rehman Colony, and Block One in Jauharabad; Atra, Chan, Mitha Tiwana, and Adhi Kot in Tehsil Quaidabad; Mohalla Hussainabad, Wadhi Panah Khel, Jamali Balochan, Rangpur Baghoor, and Joran Kalan in Tehsil Noorpur Thal; and Jaba and other locations in Tehsil Nowshera.
During the mourning processions and acts of self-flagellation (Zanjeer Zani), Rescue 1122 teams provided on-the-spot first aid to 228 mourners. Three seriously injured mourners were given emergency medical treatment before being shifted to the DHQ Hospital for further care.
Ali Hussain further stated that Rescue 1122 had established 27 rescue posts across the district. Approximately 118 rescue personnel, 53 Rescue volunteers, 16 emergency vehicles, and 35 rescue motorbikes were deployed alongside the processions to provide timely emergency medical coverage and ensure the safety of participants throughout Youm-e-Ashura.
