A review meeting on the emergency performance report for the month of June was held at the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Office in Khushab under the chairmanship of District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Hussain stated that the Punjab Emergency Service received a total of 15,232 calls during June, of which 3,706 were emergency calls. He said that Rescue 1122 successfully maintained its response time and provided emergency assistance to 4,584 victims during the month.
He further informed that Rescue 1122 responded to 361 road traffic accidents, 2,796 medical emergencies, 34 fire incidents, 5 structural collapse incidents, 59 crime-related emergencies, 3 drowning incidents, and 448 other emergencies, including workplace injuries, animal and bird rescues, and other miscellaneous incidents.
Ali Hussain added that Rescue 1122 personnel provided first aid at the scene to 2,078 people with minor injuries, while 2,450 critically injured patients were given timely medical assistance and shifted to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Regarding the Patient Referral Service, he said that 339 patients were safely transferred from one government hospital to another government hospital for advanced medical treatment, with continuous medical care provided during transportation.
