A third meeting of the Transition Committee was held via video link under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, to review the progress of the project aimed at upgrading the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Mianwali into a Teaching Hospital and establishing a Medical College under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

During the meeting, officials from the relevant departments briefed the committee on the progress achieved and the status of various components of the project. Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed all concerned departments to ensure that every phase of the project is completed within the prescribed timeline. He emphasized the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders to expedite the project’s completion.

He stated that the upgradation of the DHQ Hospital into a Teaching Hospital and the establishment of a Medical College would significantly enhance modern healthcare services for the people of the region while providing quality medical education opportunities for aspiring students. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to completing the project on schedule in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ensuring that the public benefits from its outcomes at the earliest.
