Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Islamabad on Monday for an official visit to Pakistan, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi received his Iranian counterpart at the airport, while Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry welcomed Minister Momeni with a bouquet of flowers.

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, was also present at the airport to receive the visiting delegation.

During his visit, Minister Eskandar Momeni is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.

The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and provide an opportunity for both sides to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional significance.
