Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary has vowed to continue the anti-encroachment drive in the federal capital without discrimination, irrespective of the status or influence of individuals, including politicians and businessmen.
In a televised message, he said the anti-encroachment campaign has been underway in Islamabad for the past one and a half years.
He highlighted action taken against illegal constructions in the city’s posh sectors and along the Islamabad Expressway. He said the campaign is being led by the Interior Minister under a zero-tolerance policy.
Talal Chaudhary said a routine notice has been served on Amanullah, the owner of the residence where JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman resides.
He clarified that the notice was not issued over any legal construction but was related to a small security cabin built on green space and a generator.
