In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Open Door Policy, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber listened to public complaints and directed the relevant departments to ensure their immediate resolution.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Khurram Hameed and several complainants were also present during the public hearing.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber said that the doors of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office are always open to everyone, and citizens should feel free to present their concerns. He emphasized that resolving public issues on a priority basis is the foremost responsibility of the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Assistant Commissioner Khushab and officers of the concerned departments that no delay or obstacle in addressing citizens’ grievances would be tolerated. He personally heard the complaints of visitors to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and stated that public issues are heard on a daily basis to ensure timely relief.
Dr. Laber further directed all relevant departments to submit implementation reports on the applications received from citizens. He reiterated that resolving public grievances remains the district administration’s top priority and warned that negligence, inefficiency, or dereliction of duty in any government department would not be tolerated. He urged all officers and officials to perform their duties with dedication and a strong commitment to public service.
