A prestigious ceremony was held at Government Graduate College Joharabad to recognize and encourage the best teachers, best principals, and best colleges of District Khushab. The event was organized under the patronage of Dr. Iram Iqbal, Deputy Director Colleges, District Khushab, while Dr. Naheed Naz, Director Colleges, Sargodha Division, attended as the guest of honour.
The arrangements for the ceremony were efficiently managed by Dr. Asim Shehzad, Principal of Government Graduate College Joharabad, along with his team. On the occasion, teachers, principals, and colleges that demonstrated outstanding performance under the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the Higher Education Department Punjab were presented with honorary shields and certificates. Earlier, these high-performing teachers had also received financial incentives from the Government of Punjab in recognition of their achievements.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers expressed gratitude to the Government of Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Higher Education Department Punjab, and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat for introducing this initiative. They stated that such a recognition ceremony was being held for the first time in history and would promote healthy competition, excellence, and improved educational standards among teachers and institutions.
The participants described the presence, patronage, and encouragement of Dr. Naheed Naz, Director Colleges Sargodha Division, as a great honour. They also paid tribute to Dr. Iram Iqbal, Deputy Director Colleges Khushab, for her leadership, effective guidance, and continuous efforts to improve the quality of higher education in the district.
During the ceremony, cash prizes in the form of cheques were also distributed among students who achieved outstanding success in sports competitions organized by the Higher Education Department. The recipients included students from Government Graduate College Joharabad and Government Graduate College Quaidabad.
The ceremony was regarded as a historic milestone, as it was the first formal event in District Khushab where the best teachers, principals, and colleges were honoured with shields and certificates on the basis of KPIs.
