Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha, Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan, chaired an important meeting of the Divisional Coordination Committee to review inter-agency coordination and law enforcement matters.

The meeting was attended by the District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha, SP RIB, representatives of Safe City, Regional Officers of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, Punjab Highway Patrol, Riot Management Police, and the Special Protection Unit (SPU). The DPOs of Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar participated through video link.

The RPO expressed satisfaction over the strong working relationship and effective coordination among all police departments operating across the division.

During the meeting, participants held detailed discussions on security arrangements for the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (A.S.), the role of the police and Safe City authorities during any potential flood emergency, enforcement of traffic laws, and strategies to maintain the overall law and order situation.

Addressing the meeting, RPO Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan stated that the security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram remained exemplary and directed that the same high standards be maintained during Chehlum at all costs.

He further instructed that police personnel should receive specialised training to effectively respond to any emergency arising from possible flooding. The RPO also stressed the need for joint initiatives with educational institutions to eliminate drug abuse and protect the younger generation from the menace of narcotics.

He directed the concerned officers to further improve police response times to Pukar-15 emergency calls and ensure strict enforcement of traffic regulations across the region.
