Polling for the General Election of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Constituency LA-34(1), is continuing peacefully in District Khushab. Voting began at 8:00 a.m. today at Block No. 14 Joharabad, Chak No. 53/MB, and Azam Colony (Chak No. 45/MB).

A total of 1,100 registered voters are eligible to cast their votes in the constituency within District Khushab. As polling commenced, voters began arriving at polling stations to exercise their democratic right. Comprehensive arrangements have been made to facilitate voters, while polling staff, under the supervision of Presiding Officers, are performing their duties efficiently and professionally.

Strict security measures have been put in place at all polling stations to ensure the maintenance of law and order. Personnel from law enforcement agencies remain fully alert and are carrying out their responsibilities to ensure a peaceful polling process.
On the occasion, District Election Commissioner Muhammad Ali visited the polling station established at Government Primary School, Chak No. 53/MB (Block 14). During his visit, he reviewed the polling process, voting procedures, availability of election materials, and security arrangements. The Presiding Officer briefed him on the polling arrangements and the ongoing election process.

Speaking during the visit, District Election Commissioner Muhammad Ali stated that polling at all polling stations across the district was proceeding smoothly, transparently, and peacefully. He emphasized that mobile phones are not permitted inside polling stations and directed all concerned to ensure strict compliance with the Election Commission’s Code of Conduct.
He further stated that polling would continue without interruption until 5:00 p.m. as scheduled.
