Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir is observed every year to draw the attention of international community towards the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
This was stated by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam while addressing a news conference along with All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir in Islamabad today.
The Minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue extending its moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir.
He termed 5 August a black day in history, saying India revoked Articles 370 and 35-A of its Constitution, thereby ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Amir Muqam said these actions are aimed at pursuing India’s agenda of bringing demographic changes to the region.
Highlighting the situation in IIOJK, he said Indian forces are involved in extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris, while their properties are being demolished.
The Minister said the entire Pakistani nation is united on the Kashmir issue and there is a consensus among Pakistanis in this regard.
