Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber conducted a surprise inspection of various branches at the DC Office Complex and reviewed cleanliness arrangements, attendance of officers and employees, official records, and facilities being provided to citizens. Deputy Director Development Sohail Sikandar Ranjha was also present on the occasion.
During the inspection, heads of the concerned branches briefed the Deputy Commissioner on official affairs, pending matters, and progress made on applications and complaints submitted by citizens.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber directed that every citizen visiting the DC Office Complex must be heard with respect and dignity, and that immediate and effective action be taken to resolve their issues in accordance with the law and regulations. He said that providing timely and transparent relief to citizens through government offices is a fundamental responsibility of officers and employees.
He further directed that high standards of cleanliness must be maintained at all times in all branches, corridors, gardens, washrooms, and other areas of the complex. He also instructed the relevant officials to undertake further measures for beautification, including plantation of flowering plants, tree plantation, and additional landscaping and renovation work.
The Deputy Commissioner urged officers and employees to perform their official duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility, considering them a national obligation. He made it clear that negligence, carelessness, or inappropriate behavior towards citizens would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber also inspected various rooms of the DC Office Complex and directed that the available government building and space be utilized effectively by making the rooms functional for official purposes, ensuring the optimal use of public resources.
