A dignified ceremony was held at the District Wireless Control Office Khushab to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day on August 14. District Wireless Control Officer Khushab, Raja Muhammad Shehzad Ikram, along with other officers and officials, attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, candles were lit and a cake was cut to celebrate the joy of Pakistan’s independence. Speaking on the occasion, District Wireless Control Officer Raja Muhammad Shehzad Ikram said that Pakistan was the result of the great struggle and countless sacrifices made by the nation’s forefathers. He emphasized that everyone should value the country’s freedom, sovereignty, and security and play an active role in its development and prosperity.

He said that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country and the maintenance of peace and law and order, particularly the martyrs of the police, were a source of pride for the entire nation. Their everlasting sacrifices could never be forgotten. The participants paid tribute to the martyrs and prayed for the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the security, stability, development, prosperity, and peace of Pakistan. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to performing their duties with honesty, dedication, and patriotic spirit for the progress, peace, and stability of the country.
