The annual Super League Floodlight Cricket Tournament was held at United Ground, Joharabad, in memory of the late Malik Shakeel Bashir Awan. The tournament was organized under the patronage of Member of the National Assembly Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Malik Saad Bashir Awan, Malik Imran Bashir Awan, and Malik Hamza Shakeel Awan, with several cricket teams participating.
Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar attended one of the tournament matches as the chief guest. MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan warmly welcomed the Deputy Commissioner on the occasion. Both Malik Shakir Bashir Awan and Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar watched the cricket match between the two teams with great interest and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan said that there is no shortage of talent in Khushab. Such sporting events provide young players with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills and abilities. He said that the Punjab Government is taking historic steps to promote cricket, hockey, badminton, volleyball, and other sports, which is a highly encouraging development.
At the conclusion of the tournament, MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan distributed prizes among the teams securing first, second, and third positions and appreciated the players for their performances.
