A meeting to review the emergency performance report for September was held at the Punjab Emergency Service Office Khushab under the chairmanship of District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Khushab Ali Hussain. The meeting reviewed the performance of Rescue 1122 and various emergency incidents handled during the previous month.
District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain stated that Rescue 1122 received a total of 13,032 calls during September, including 3,681 emergency calls. Maintaining its response time, Punjab Emergency Service successfully rescued 3,671 victims during the month.
He said that Rescue 1122 dealt with 328 road traffic accidents, 2,790 medical emergencies, 9 fire incidents, 53 crime-related incidents, 2 drowning incidents and 497 other emergencies. The latter included injuries sustained during work, animal and bird rescues, and other emergency situations.
Rescue personnel provided on-the-spot first aid to 1,125 mildly injured or affected people, while 2,479 critically affected patients were provided timely medical assistance and shifted to local hospitals for further treatment.
Regarding the Patient Referral Service, Ali Hussain said that 344 patients were transferred from one government hospital to another while being provided medical assistance to ensure better treatment facilities.
