Two unarmed Pakistani civilians were martyred and another was injured in firing by India’s Border Security Force near the Pakistan-India international border in Kasur.
According to security sources, three local residents of Ladhar village came a few steps ahead of a border pillar when BSF personnel opened fire on them without warning.
The sources said two civilians were martyred while another sustained injuries in the firing. All three individuals were unarmed.
The deceased have been identified as Azmat Rasool, son of Attaullah, and Mohsin Jutt, both residents of Jattan Wali Haveli, Ladhar.
The security sources further said that none of the three individuals had attempted to cross the border fence.
They said the incident constitutes a violation of the border agreement and the standard operating procedures governing the Pakistan-India international border.
Indian media, while continuing its tradition of a false-flag narrative, labelled the innocent civilians as alleged infiltrators.
