A cheque for Rs. 8.16 million has been presented to the Rehabilitation Fund for Persons with Disabilities by FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited, Sahiwal, under Section 32 of the Punjab Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2022.
In this regard, Malik Imtiaz Ahmad Mangat, Divisional Director of Social Welfare, Sahiwal, presented the cheque to Sohail Shaukat Butt, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab and Chairperson of the Council.
Dr. Shehenshah Faisal Azeem, Director General of Social Welfare and Secretary of the Council, and Muzammil Yar, Director CRP, were also present on the occasion.
The initiative is an important step towards providing financial resources for the rehabilitation and welfare of persons with disabilities. The amount has been contributed to the Rehabilitation Fund in accordance with the relevant law and is expected to strengthen initiatives aimed at improving the well-being, rehabilitation and support of persons with disabilities.
