Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a pilot project to transform 120 rural localities into modern model villages.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore today, Maryam Nawaz said under this initiative, the provincial government has decided to introduce the Khushhal Dehat Act 2026.
Maryam Nawaz directed the authorities concerned to immediately constitute village committees and submit a comprehensive plan for the initiative.
She expressed provincial government’s resolve to transform all villages in Punjab into model villages.
The Chief Minister further directed members of the provincial assembly and party ticket-holders to act as custodians of development projects in their villages.
