Tree Plantation Drive Launched at Government Higher Secondary School Khoora

A tree plantation drive has been formally launched at Government Higher Secondary School Khoora under the supervision of Principal Malik Muhammad Iqbal Awan. The principal, male and female teachers, school staff, and students participated enthusiastically with a strong sense of national spirit and planted saplings within the school premises.

Addressing the participants, Principal Malik Muhammad Iqbal Awan highlighted the importance, need, and benefits of tree plantation. He stated that trees are a matter of life and death for us. Planting trees is not only part of our struggle for survival but also our religious, social, and national responsibility. He emphasized that protecting trees and nurturing them to maturity is a collective duty of all of us.

He further said that safeguarding existing trees and forests is equally important. Trees provide us with oxygen for breathing, enhance environmental beauty, maintain pleasant weather conditions, help control global warming, and play a vital role in improving the rainfall system. He added that for any country to progress, at least twenty-five percent of its total area should be covered with forests.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, students, teachers, and other staff members pledged that they would not only plant new saplings but also actively contribute to the protection of existing trees and forests to help build a greener and more prosperous Pakistan.
