
A meeting of the District Peace Committee Bhakkar was held in the committee room under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bhakkar Ehsan Ali Jamali. The meeting emphasized that promoting mutual unity is the need of the hour to ensure national security and sustainable peace in the district.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Ehsan Ali Jamali stated that a spirit of brotherhood must be maintained to thwart the malicious designs of external enemies and to safeguard the country from both internal and external threats. He urged all segments of society to play their effective role in maintaining harmony and stability.
District Police Officer Shehzad Rafiq Awan and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Arshad Wattoo were also present on the occasion.
Members of the District Peace Committee who attended the meeting included Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan, Syed Qaiser Abbas Naqvi, Maulana Qalb Muhammad Ali Shahani, President Anjuman-e-Tajran Rana Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Qari Abdul Shakoor, Zubair Mahmood Mughal, Syed Karim Haider Shah, Muhammad Aslam Mughal, Sheikh Muhammad Ayub, Malik Ashiq Hussain Khokhar, Malik Nazeer Khemtah, Safdar Hussain Asim, Ameer Iqbal Kahawar, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Rizvi, Sahibzada Abdul Aleem, Haji Muhammad Mehboob, Syed Mumtaz Hussain Shah, Maulana Zakaullah Khalid, Muhammad Sharif, Chaudhry Yameen, Muhammad Musa Tahir, Sahibzada Mansoor Sultan, and Qari Ashraf.
While addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that scholars and religious leaders from all schools of thought should continue to play their individual roles, as they have in the past, to promote national interest and interfaith harmony, and to foil the nefarious intentions of anti-state elements.
DPO Shehzad Rafiq Awan stated that foolproof security arrangements have been ensured across the district to maintain law and order. He added that police personnel are performing their duties more effectively than ever, and strict security measures are being implemented at all religious places of worship.
Deputy Commissioner Ehsan Ali Jamali and DPO Shehzad Rafiq Awan also briefed the participants regarding security and administrative arrangements in connection with Youm-e-Ali (RA).
Members of the Peace Committee, while addressing the meeting, reaffirmed their commitment to continue playing their role for the country’s security and stability. They assured full cooperation with the district administration and police to eliminate the mischief of hostile elements.
The speakers emphasized that peace in the district is dearer to them than their own lives and that all responsible individuals will continue to fulfill their duties in this regard.
During the meeting, the reported martyrdom of Ali Khamenei was described as a great tragedy for the Muslim Ummah, and special prayers were offered for the elevation of his ranks.
