Pakistan, Canada vow to maintain positive momentum

Pakistan and Canada have emphasized the importance of sustained high-level exchanges to maintain the positive trajectory in bilateral engagement.

This came at a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand today.

On this occasion, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to further enhance economic cooperation across diverse sectors, including agriculture, clean energy, and critical minerals, as well as strengthening people-to-people ties.

They further discussed evolving regional developments, with the Deputy Prime Minister stressing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law to promote de-escalation and stability in the Middle East and the wider region.

In her remarks, Anita Anand appreciated the vibrant Pakistani diaspora in Canada.
