Acting on the directives of Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal, Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz, the Para Force launched a major crackdown against shopkeepers involved in the sale of smuggled cigarettes. During the operation, a large quantity of illegal cigarettes was seized.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Haroon Ahmed Shiraz stated that, in line with government directives, the scope of the operation will be further expanded to ensure the complete elimination of smuggling. He warned shopkeepers to refrain from selling smuggled cigarettes, otherwise strict legal action will be taken against them.
He further added that the Para Force will continue to play an active role in ensuring the implementation of the Government of Punjab’s directives, and indiscriminate actions against such elements will persist.
