Bhutto’s 47th Death Anniversary Observed with Reverence in Khushab

A dignified ceremony was held under the auspices of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) City Khushab to mark the 47th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The event was presided over by PPP City President Syed Tahir Raza Shah, while District President PPP Malik Muhammad Ali Sawal Awan attended as the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by senior PPP leaders and a large number of citizens, including Dr. Rashid Malik, District General Secretary Malik Basit Rajar, MC Khushab General Secretary Abbas Naich, Sikandar Mughal, Kanwal Buchal, Saqib Madhwal, Muhammad Ali Rajpoot, District President Women Wing Tathir Sabira, and PPP leader Noor Jamal.

Speakers paid rich tribute to the invaluable services, political struggle, and enduring sacrifices of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for democracy. District President Malik Muhammad Ali Sawal Awan stated that Bhutto transformed national politics by bringing democracy to the doorstep of the common people and freeing it from authoritarian, feudal, and capitalist dominance—an achievement that will be remembered for generations.

In his address, Syed Tahir Raza Shah termed Bhutto the architect of the Constitution, democracy, and Pakistan’s nuclear strength, calling his struggle a significant chapter in the country’s history. He said that the nation remembers him with deep respect and devotion on his martyrdom anniversary.

President of Doctors Wing Sargodha Division, Dr. Malik Naeem Awan, remarked that Bhutto’s democratic struggle and sacrifices serve as a guiding light for future generations. Meanwhile, President of Ladies Wing PPP Sargodha Division, Gohar Jamal, emphasized the need to renew the commitment to uphold democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, and rule of law, and to continue striving for the completion of Bhutto’s mission.

District Information Secretary Ghulam Akbar Bhatti appreciated Bhutto’s sincere contributions as Prime Minister towards national development, prosperity, and defense strength, stating that he worked within democratic principles to address public issues.

At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and other martyrs of democracy.
