A dignified flag hoisting ceremony was held at DC Complex Jauharabad to mark the completion of one year of victory in the “Battle of Truth” and to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army. Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber and DPO Khushab Dr. Ammarah Shirazi attended the ceremony as chief guests.
On this occasion, personnel of Punjab Police, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, and para forces presented a salute to the Deputy Commissioner and the DPO Khushab. Later, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber and DPO Dr. Ammarah Shirazi hoisted the national green crescent flag. Participants of the ceremony raised enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad” in support of the armed forces.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber said that the purpose of the flag hoisting ceremony was to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army in connection with the “Battle of Truth.” He stated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and deeply values the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army.
He said that Pakistan’s soldiers and other security forces are performing their duties for the defence of the country like a wall of steel. He further stated that on May 9 and 10, 2025, the Pakistan Army successfully defended the country and demonstrated its strength by defeating the enemy India.
The Deputy Commissioner added that the Pakistan Armed Forces thwarted India’s hostile intentions and brought pride to the nation, earning recognition across the world.
Among those present at the ceremony were ADCG Khushab Ghazala Kanwal, Assistant Commissioner Khushab Chaudhry Ziaullah, Additional Charge CEO Health Dr. Ahmad Khan, MS DHQ Hospital Jauharabad, District Forest Officer Sudhir Ahmad Mughal, officers of Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence, teachers, municipal committee officers, and officials from the DC Office and other departments.
At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the national security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan and for the Pakistan Army.
