Strong Condemnation of the Suicide Blast at Chaman Railway Crossing in Quetta The Cancer of Terrorism Must Be Eradicated from Its Roots
Tariq Mehmood Ghouri, Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party Human Rights Cell, has strongly condemned the cowardly suicide attack at the Chaman railway crossing in Quetta.
Tariq Mehmood Ghouri stated that according to initial reports, more than 30 innocent civilians have embraced martyrdom in this attack so far. The most heartbreaking aspect is that 4 members of the same family, residing in a flat near the railway station, were martyred in the attack. The martyrs include a husband and wife, their 12-year-old daughter, and their 8-year-old son. Targeting innocent children and their parents who were busy preparing for Eid in this manner is a crime against humanity and is in no way acceptable.
He said that cowardly terrorist elements cannot break the morale of the nation by targeting defenceless citizens. Pakistan is united and resolute. This is the cancer of terrorism, which must be uprooted from its roots it is a collective duty of the entire nation.
Tariq Mehmood Ghouri offered prayers for the forgiveness and elevation of ranks of the martyrs, prayed for patience for the bereaved families, and wished for the Fast and thorough recovery of the injured. He stated that in this hour of grief, the entire nation stands with the affected families.
He further said that the enemies of peace seek to spread fear and destabilise the country, but the nation will foil these conspiracies. The sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain, and the national resolve to eliminate terrorism is stronger than ever.
The Pakistan Peoples Party Human Rights Cell demands that immediate and impartial investigations into this incident be conducted, the perpetrators be brought to justice, and immediate relief and compensation be provided to the families of the martyrs.
