The Netherlands produced a dominant display to defeat Sweden 5-1 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group F match on Saturday.

Brian Brobbey gave the Dutch a flying start with goals in the 5th and 17th minutes, helping the Netherlands take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Cody Gakpo extended the advantage shortly after the break, scoring twice in the 47th and 54th minutes to put the match beyond Sweden’s reach. Casper Summerville then added a fifth goal in the 89th minute to complete an emphatic victory.

Sweden’s only goal came in the 59th minute through Anthony Elanga, assisted by Alexander Isak.

The comprehensive win strengthens the Netherlands’ position in Group F and boosts their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage of the tournament.
