Pakistan Women suffered their third consecutive defeat in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, ending their hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the tournament.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh Women elected to bat first against Pakistan and posted 123-6 in their allotted 20 overs. Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana scored 36 runs, while Shorna Akter remained the top scorer with 39.
For Pakistan, captain Fatima Sana claimed two wickets, while Tasmia Rubab, Sadia Iqbal and Tuba Hassan picked up one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 124, Pakistan Women failed to gain momentum and could only manage 100-8 in their 20 overs.
Muneeba Ali top-scored for Pakistan with 25 runs, while Gul Feroza contributed 23. Ayesha Zafar added 11 runs and captain Fatima Sana scored 10, but the rest of the batting line-up struggled to make an impact as Pakistan fell 23 runs short of the target.
The defeat leaves Pakistan without a point from three matches and officially out of contention for a place in the semi-finals.
