Acting on the Open Door Policy of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Khushab, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber, met with members of the public at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, listened to their grievances, and issued immediate directives to the relevant departments for the prompt resolution of their problems.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Development Sohail Sikandar Ranjha, Managing Director WASA Imran Ali Bajwa, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, officials from various departments, and the complainants.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber said that the doors of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office are always open to people from all walks of life. He encouraged citizens to present their issues without hesitation, emphasizing that resolving public grievances on a priority basis is the foremost responsibility of the district administration.
He directed the Assistant Commissioner Khushab and the officers of the concerned departments to ensure the timely resolution of public complaints and strictly warned that no negligence, unnecessary delay, or obstruction in addressing citizens’ issues would be tolerated.
Dr. Laber further stated that he personally hears public complaints on a daily basis to ensure that citizens receive timely relief. He also instructed the relevant departments to submit implementation reports on the applications received from the public. Stressing the importance of efficient public service, he said that negligence, laziness, and dereliction of duty would not be accepted under any circumstances. He urged all government departments to perform their duties with dedication, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility in order to provide better and more efficient services to the people.
