US Congressmen Michael Baumgartner and Ryan Zinke have commended Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in regional peace efforts, including its mediation between the United States and Iran.
Speaking to Pakistan TV during their visit to Islamabad, Congressman Michael Baumgartner praised Pakistan’s constructive role in diplomacy between the United States and Iran as well as its efforts on Gaza. They said Pakistan-US relations are going to be stronger.
He also highlighted expanding people-to-people and business ties, saying the relationship is moving beyond its traditional security focus.
Congressman Ryan Zinke said US President Donald Trump, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif maintain strong communication, expressing confidence that bilateral ties are currently at their strongest.
