The selection of intending pilgrims under the Hajj 2027-2030 Policy will be made on a first-come, first-served basis through a digital waiting list.
This was stated by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad today.
The Minister said intending pilgrims will be able to register for the Hajj of their preferred year by depositing ten percent of the total estimated Hajj expenditure.
He said multiple Hajj packages of varying durations will be introduced under the Government Hajj Scheme. He said sixty percent of the Hajj quota will be allocated to the Government Hajj Scheme, while the remaining forty percent will be reserved for private Hajj operators.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said all Hajj payments will be made through government-designated banking channels.
He added that a third-party audit of all Hajj arrangements will be conducted to ensure transparency.
