Pasban Welfare Society Khushab has established the Pasban Vocational School System in the village of Woher to provide girls with professional training in sewing and embroidery. The inauguration ceremony was attended by chief guest Dr. Siddiq Akbar, Dr. Anosha Maqsood, Pasban Welfare Society President Shakeel Ahmed Chaudhry, Principal Tasleem Akhtar, and social worker Nasreen Akhtar, who formally inaugurated the initiative.
Addressing the ceremony, the speakers emphasized that women should not only acquire education and vocational skills but also play an active role in nation-building, community development, and humanitarian service. They praised Pasban Welfare Society for its outstanding voluntary social welfare services, stating that the organization has earned a distinguished reputation across District Khushab through its self-help initiatives.
The speakers further encouraged women to excel in home-based industries, technical education, information technology, and sports. They highlighted that the Pasban Vocational School System will offer training courses in sewing and embroidery, computer skills, shorthand, beauty therapy, mehndi art, cooking, and fabric painting.
They explained that all courses will be conducted by qualified female instructors holding diplomas from recognized institutions. These instructors can establish a vocational school by dedicating a room in their own homes. Students will complete a one-year training program and will be awarded diplomas upon successful completion.
The speakers noted that the initiative aims to create respectable income-generating opportunities for women through self-employment while promoting skill development at the grassroots level.
