Adviser to the Finance Minister, Khurram Schehzad, has said Pakistan’s private sector is expanding and borrowing more from the banking sector.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs Channel’s programme “Perspective”, he explained that private businesses are securing credit to expand their operations and commercial activity.
He noted that Pakistan’s economic outlook remains stable, with several rating agencies upgrading the country’s outlook from stable to positive, which is a clear sign that investor confidence has been restored.
He said the economy is moving in the right direction and that overall economic activity will bear fruit in the near future.
Khurram Schehzad highlighted that the textile and food sectors are taking on significant funding to expand operations, aimed at boosting exports and serving the domestic market.
